Visa Duration in Georgia
Georgia issues both short-term and long-term visas.
1. Short-Term Visas
• A single-entry short-term visa is issued for the number of days specified in the visa application, but for no more than 30 days.
• A multiple-entry short-term visa can be issued for a maximum validity of 5 years. However, the total duration of stay in Georgia must not exceed 90 calendar days within any 180-day period.
• A multiple-entry short-term visa is granted only to foreigners who have visited Georgia at least once in the previous year according to the rules established by Georgian law.
2. Long-Term Visas
• A long-term visa allows multiple entries and is issued for 90 calendar days or 1 year.
• A 1-year long-term visa is granted only to individuals (along with their spouse and children) who own real estate in Georgia, excluding agricultural land, with a market value exceeding $100,000 USD.
