The following documents must be submitted when applying for a work residence permit:
• The foreigner’s original travel document.
• The original document confirming legal stay in Georgia.
• A document proving employment or entrepreneurial activity (such as an employment contract or another document confirming employment). If these documents do not confirm the foreigner’s legal income, the amount deposited in the foreigner’s personal bank account (including a bank-issued statement) may also be considered income. The amount must not be less than five times the average subsistence minimum for a consumer in Georgia (260 GEL) per month, considering the duration of the work residence permit.
• A certificate confirming that the applicant’s monthly income/salary from employment or entrepreneurial activity in Georgia is not less than five times the average subsistence minimum for a consumer in Georgia. Additionally, a document issued by the Revenue Service of Georgia confirming that the employer’s/founded company’s annual turnover (except for educational or medical institutions) is not less than 50,000 GEL per foreign applicant for a work residence permit. For educational or medical institutions, the annual turnover must be at least 35,000 GEL per foreign applicant for a work residence permit.
• A certificate indicating the number of foreign applicants for a work residence permit in the employer’s/founded company.
• A passport-size photo (3x4 cm).
All documents must be submitted with a Georgian translation.
Some documents require certification with an apostille or legalization.
